{The Projects}

This piece is named after its paint color: East Hampton. The color was inspired by mason jars. I found the piece on craigslist for $10. Photos of the before can be found below. It was difficult to strip the hand painted bunny and wreath off of this storage piece however it was not my style and would not serve a purpose in my home with its green coloring. after stripping the paint and sanding the piece down I applied the new paint and had planned to replace the background fabric with a white and blue striped fabric. Walking through Jo-Ann's this fabric of flowers and swirls with a red pop stood out to me and I decided to go with it. The most challenging part of this project was removing the doors. In the end I love the way it turned out.
